From the Principal: The 2009-2010 school year brings new faces, new ideas, and some exciting new changes.  I am excited to be your new principal at Thornwell School for the Arts. Each day as the 300 students enter our doors, they will be provided an academically enriched education that is integrated with the arts.  Our hallways will be filled with artwork and the sound of music while our students' minds are filled with learning. As we embrace our new motto, "Setting the Stage for Excellence,"  we will commit our available resources to prepare students for the future.  As Booker T. Washington once said, "Excellence is to do a common thing in a uncommon way."  We will commit ourselves  to figuring out what that uncommon way is for every child! Mrs. Mahn
